Introducing Milo the Mongoose: A New Children’s Book Series from St. Croix

I’m thrilled to introduce my newest creative project — Milo the Mongoose, an original children’s book series. These heartwarming stories follow Milo, a clever and curious young mongoose living on the vibrant island of St. Croix.

Milo is always exploring — from sandy beaches and shady forests to colorful markets and sunny village streets. Along the way, he meets local animals, makes new friends, and learns simple but meaningful lessons about kindness, honesty, and Caribbean culture.

In Book 1, Milo stars in two beautifully illustrated stories:

Lesson 1: Milo Learns to Say “Good Morning”

Milo rushes through town excited to play, but no one greets him back — until his friend Tante Lizzie teaches him the importance of saying “Good Morning.” It’s a small act with a big impact, helping Milo understand how showing kindness and respect is part of everyday island life.

Lesson 2: Milo and the Lost Shell

While playing near the tide pools, Milo finds a shiny shell — but it belongs to his friend Sammy the Soldier Crab. Milo learns that helping a friend feels even better than keeping a treasure, and that generosity is part of what makes true friendship special.

Each story concludes with interactive questions and a cultural note that helps young readers reflect and connect with the values shared. Whether you’re from the Caribbean or just love stories that celebrate curiosity and kindness, Milo the Mongoose is perfect for bedtime reading, classroom sharing, or sparking conversations at home.

The first book is now available and is the beginning of a series that will continue to explore the beauty of island life and the important lessons we learn along the way.

Stay tuned for more adventures with Milo — and thank you for supporting stories inspired by the people, animals, and vibrant life of St. Croix.
