I’ve been using the Car Vent Mount – for MagSafe for years and it’s been sooo useful (check out my review here). My wife and I used all the time and even took it with us when traveling for rental cars. The only downside is that it does block, or at best partially block, a car vent. Living in the deep south and now in the US Virgin Islands = super-hot car. So, I wanted to get something which would not block a vent.
Originally, I considered one of the mounts which attach to the windshield. But I really did not want to block any of my field of view. Then I landed on the Adjustable Dash Car Mount – for MagSafe sold by Moment.
We’ve been using it for a few months now and absolutely love it! It adhered easily and firmly to the dashboard. Using Apple’s MagSafe, iPhones attach/detach quickly and effortlessly. I wouldn’t dream of going back. Of course, this is not portable. So we still take the Car Vent Mount – for MagSafe when traveling. That said, we 100% recommend the Adjustable Dash Car Mount – for MagSafe.
It currently sells for $50 which is $20 less than the typical price ($70). Reviews are mixed on Moment’s website, with an average rating of 3 stars out of 5 (based on 9 reviews). The lower reviews seem to indicate that some had problems with it adhering to the dash. That was not an issue for me.
